Book Talk...

What have you read that you couldn't put down?
The Help
I just finished The Help and was blown away by all of the subplots within the book.  The mother-daughter relationship, the need to be accepted, the need to be loved, and above all how we treat each other as human beings... we all have worth!  I loved how the author plugged in some historical events along the way and even some "newly developed" products.

Front CoverAnother book that I couldn't put down was Shift.  I guess I loved it so much because I could relate to it.  No, I have never been on a transcontinental bike ride, just to set the record straight, but I have lost touch with friends that I was with nearly my entire school career.  Did I cry at the end of the book?  Let's just say that I should have stock in Kleenex.

  1. It's like that for me with Peg Kehret books. She writes things that have a lot of suspension and I just can't put it down.

  3. The books that i couldnt put down was the series of Pendragon. The books were very action and very straight to the point they didnt bore me like any other books. They painted a visual picture for me to see what was going on in the book. Very easy to understand and know the setting and theme.
